The Marlborough Kids' Duathlon

The Event

Venue: We are delighted to have the support of Brancott Estate who offer us their beautiful, off-road vineyard setting for the Earthcare Environmental Marlborough Kids Duathlon.

Brancott Vineyard, 180 Brancott Road, Fairhall, Blenheim (same venue as Marlborough Wine & Food Festival)

Date: Sunday November 13th 2011 (the Duathlon will operate regardless of weather conditions)

Entry Fee: $16

The Course:

Course 1: Run or walk 1 km - bike 3 km - run or walk 1 km

Course 2: Run or walk 2 km - bike 5.5 km - run or walk 1 km

Both courses are open to kids 7-17yrs. Choose your course according to your age and fitness level. Distances are approximate.

Race Number Collection: We recommend you collect your race number and t-shirt (if you ordered one) before the day, as it will be very busy at the venue. Race numbers and t-shirts will be available on Friday November 11th between 3:00-5:00pm and Saturday November 12th between 12noon-2pm at Avantiplus Blenheim, Queen Street, Blenheim; and on Sunday November 13th between 8:30 - 9:00am at the venue.

Start times: Race 1 start promptly at 9:30am, Race 2 from 10:15am (or when everyone has finished Race 1)

All bikes must be in transition by 9.00 am

Race briefing: 9:15am at the Finish area

Rules: No prizes are given for placing. All participants are eligible for randomly drawn spot prizes, but must be present at prize giving to claim them. All distances are approximate. We are not able to refund any entry fees /t-shirt payments after the closing date.

This year spot prizes include a brand new Scott Aspect mountain bike and helmet!

Entries close: October 28th 2011. No entries on the day. Entries are strictly limited to 500 and will be accepted on a first-come-first-served basis.

T Shirt: The 2011 collectors t-shirt is available in S (child 8/10yrs) M (child 12 & 14yrs) and L (adult medium) at a cost of $9.  T-shirts must be pre-ordered on entry form.
